Flat-woven kilims are light, reversible and hard-wearing — easy to care for.
- Flip it every few months — flat-weaves are reversible, so alternating sides evens out wear.
- Vacuum with suction only (no beater bar); smaller pieces can simply be shaken out.
- Blot spills right away; for stains use mild soap and cold water.
- Lay flat to dry — never wring or hang a wet flat-weave.
- Add a thin rug pad to keep it from sliding on hard floors.
- Hand-wash cold if needed; only machine wash when the maker explicitly says it's safe.
